Garden Suburb FC area great community based club with an emphasis on promoting junior participation and fun. The club welcomes players of all ages, sex and ability.

Planning Alert: Lake Macquarie Local Environmental Plan 2014 – Draft Amendment – 113 Wyndham Way Eleebana

Lake Macquarie Council is seeking to amend its Local Environmental Plan 2014. The Planning Proposal seeks to protect environmentally sensitive land by securing 11.5ha of the site as E2 Environmental Conservation zone, and facilitate a reduced and reconfigured R2 Low Density Residential zone (1.4ha) for residential development at 113 Wyndham Way, Eleebana. The minimum lot size and permitted building heights maps are intended to be adjusted accordingly to reflect the proposed zoning.

The planning proposal is on public exhibition from Monday, 2 February 2015 to Monday 16 February 2015 and can be viewed on Councils Website

Planning Alert: Port Stephens Council Draft Development Control Plan

Port Stephens Council resolved on 11 November 2014 to place the Draft Port Stephens Development Control Plan 2014 on public exhibition in accordance with Clause 18 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulation 2000.

The Draft Plan aims to provide further guidance to the Port Stephens Local Environmental Plan 2013 and make a number of key changes, which include:

  • Improved structure and formatting
  • Removal of Floor Space Ratios
  • Water quality provisions for Drinking Water Catchments
  • Incorporating principles of the Nelson Bay Town Centre and Foreshore Strategy
  • New local provisions for Seabreeze Estate, Nelson Bay
  • Revised local provisions for Pacific Dunes, Medowie
  • New local provisions for the Defence and Airport Related Employment Zone (DAREZ)
  • New technical specifications for environmental management
  • New provisions for matters of heritage significance
  • New provisions for Department of Defence input

The Draft Plan will be on public exhibition from Thursday, 5 February to Thursday, 19 March 2015.
